The course "Introduction to Leisure Services" aims to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge base of the leisure industry, from the historical, philosophical, psychological, sociological and physiological aspects of leisure activities. The course provides an in-depth look at the types of public, non-profit, commercial and tourism leisure facilities, and describes how leisure provides fun, enrichment and useful services for all ages.
Students will develop the ability to reason, defend personal views, and increase creativity in the design of leisure activities. In addition, the course helps students understand the role of professional work attitudes, recognize career opportunities, and identify the resources needed to develop a career in a challenging and potential industry of the 21st century.
