5. Course Objectives:

The course "Event Risk Management" equips students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills in identifying, analyzing, planning responses to, and controlling the various types of risks that may occur in an event. Students will gain a clear understanding of the role and scope of risk management, from the principles of safety, security, and loss prevention to emergency preparedness, and will also gain a solid understanding of the legal and ethical responsibilities involved. Through this course, students will learn how to develop and apply comprehensive risk management processes, techniques, and tools. They will integrate risk management into event administration, communications, and marketing activities, and apply it effectively in real-life situations to ensure the safety and success of events. In addition, the course encourages students to self-assess, develop self-awareness, and define career goals, helping them prepare for the challenges and opportunities in the dynamic field of event management."

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The unit introduces the practice, procedure, process and safety solutions related to identification, analysis, planning to react and control the potential risks may be occured in events. It provides foundation theory about technolgy, strategy and effective tools to manage risks in events.
