5. Course Objectives:

The Corporate Valuation course is designed to provide students with basic specialized knowledge related to methods of determining the value of a corporation as well as applying general economic and financial knowledge and valuation, in particular to determining the value of a business for various purposes in real life.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course of Corporate Valuation is designed for undergraduate programs of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, providing fundamental knowledge of corporate valuation. The course will help learners explore the foundations of corporate valuation and apply this knowledge to the valuation of a real business, including both public and private enterprises. Specifically, learners will be equipped with knowledge such as basic principles of valuation; Value standards and value premises; Financial analysis for valuation purposes; Estimating the cost of capital; Principles, methods and procedures for corporate valuation using popular valuation methods applied in the corporation (Income Method; Market Method; and Asset Method). In addition, this subject also helps learners develop the skills to search, collect and analyze the necessary data to be able to complete their valuation tasks.
