5. Course Objectives:

Provide learners with basic knowledge of strategic management in an organization. - Help learners know how to analyze the external environment and internal operations of a hospital. - Guide them on how to build and evaluate the mission, vision, and core values ​​of a hospital. - Provide learners with knowledge of the types of strategies of a hospital and the principles and tools for establishing strategies for a hospital. - Introduce activities to implement and control a hospital's strategy.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The Leadership and Strategic Management module is designed to provide learners with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes involved in establishing, implementing, and controlling strategy in healthcare settings. Learners will learn about the process of strategic planning, how to implement and control the strategy such as: defining the mission, analyzing the external environment, analyzing internal, assessing opportunities, and risks. strengths and weaknesses of the healthcare organization, establishing strategic plans, choosing strategies, defining organizational structure, leadership, culture... to ensure that the healthcare organization can set up and implement successful strategies. 

The Leadership and Strategic management are considered an essential component that dominates other activities in the organization. Therefore, mastering knowledge and skills about strategy will be a basic foundation for successful healthcare organizations.
