6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The Healthcare Risk Management module provides students with knowledge about risk management in hospitals and health systems. Content includes:
• Overview of risks in health care: Identify common types of risks, influencing factors and consequences.
• Health system and risk management model: Analyze risks from the level of hospitals, medical facilities to the national health system.
• Risk assessment and measurement: Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the level of risk in hospitals.

• Risk mitigation strategy: Develop and implement risk management plans and prevent medical incidents.
• Patient safety: Safety standards, reporting systems and learning from errors in hospitals.
• Medical incident and crisis management: Instructions on how to handle emergency and crisis situations in hospitals.
• Application of information technology in risk management: Incident reporting system, electronic medical data and artificial intelligence in risk monitoring.
