This course will introduce students to hotel information systems, telecommunications infrastructure and the internet, how these components connect and function, and how to operate the system. Students will be guided to learn about e-commerce and strategies for the current hotel industry through digital environments, mobile platforms, applications & software for reservations, global room booking and the application of information technology in human resource management, marketing, sales and security systems serving the hotel industry.
