5. Course Objectives:
The course is designed to enhance students' awareness of various theoretical approaches to leadership, different leadership styles, and to encourage a fundamental understanding of leadership activities. The module also prepares students for any current or future leadership roles and improves their skills in a group context. The course will be conducted using a variety of teaching techniques, including lectures, case studies, assessments, papers, class discussions, and experiential exercises.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
The course emphasizes leadership skills in public organizations and businesses through developing self-adaptation and self-learning abilities. After completing the course, students will have a better understanding of the art of leadership. More importantly, as managers with heightened awareness, understanding and ability to outline the context where leadership art is applied will help managers deal with change. The course will include leadership theory and practice of effective leadership skills, adaptive skills, creative skills to master change. The course will be conducted through case discussions, role-playing, assignments, and presentations.
