Brief Course Description

1. Course Title:

System Identification and Control

2. Language of Instruction:

Tiếng Việt

3. Course Code:

INT547107

4. Credits:

3

5. Course Objectives:

The System Identification and Control course equips students with the fundamentals of dynamical systems identification and their applications in control. Students will learn how to use measured input-output data to construct mathematical models, such as differential or difference equations, that describe the behavior of the system. The course also introduces the fundamentals of statistical learning and machine learning algorithms, which help students estimate and analyze relationships in data, with a particular focus on dynamical systems. The course aims to help students develop analytical thinking, data processing skills, and apply modern methods to system identification and control.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The course aims to provide the basic theory of identification of dynamical systems, i.e. how to use measured input-output data to construct mathematical models, typically differential equations or difference. Furthermore, the course aims to provide basic knowledge of statistical learning, machine learning algorithms that estimate relationships in data, with a focus on dynamical systems.
