5. Course Objectives:
The course aims to provide students with foundational knowledge of process automation, flexible manufacturing systems (FMS), and computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM). Students will become familiar with essential devices in automation systems, including sensors, controllers, and actuators, as well as their applications in automating equipment and production lines. Additionally, students will engage in self-study to utilize software for programming and monitoring devices through PLC controllers. The objective is to develop students' skills in analyzing, designing, and operating automation systems in modern manufacturing environments.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
Introduces the concepts of manufacturing process automation, manufacturing systems, flexible manufacturing systems (FMS), integrated manufacturing systems (CIM). In addition, the course also introduces basic devices in automatic systems, including: Input signal devices (sensors), control devices (controllers), actuators (Actuators), the application of this device to automate a device, a production line. Students self-study to be able to use a software to write control programs and monitor equipment using a PLC controller.
