Brief Course Description

1. Course Title:

Computer Vision

2. Language of Instruction:

Tiếng Việt

3. Course Code:

INT547024

4. Credits:

5. Course Objectives:

The Machine Vision course is designed to provide students with fundamental and advanced knowledge of image processing techniques for both static and dynamic images. Students will master basic skills such as manipulating images and cameras through programming, blurring, noise reduction, edge enhancement, and color space conversion. Additionally, the course introduces advanced techniques, including color recognition, contour detection, and motion analysis. Throughout the course, students will learn to apply image processing techniques to develop intelligent sensor systems for machines, enabling machines to "see" and "understand" their surroundings. Applications include automation in production lines, security monitoring, and support in fields such as healthcare, transportation, and daily life. The goal of the course is to help students develop programming skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities in image processing, and creative thinking to design and implement intelligent machine vision systems. Students will be well-prepared to apply machine vision technology in modern industrial and research environments.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This module equips students of Robotics and AI Technology with the knowledge of still and moving image processing techniques, including basic processing skills (manipulating images and cameras with programs, blur, denoise, edge highlight, color space conversion) and enhancement (color recognition, contour, motion detection...). At the same time, applying image processing techniques to create intelligent sensor systems for machines (machine vision for machines) used in production lines and daily life.
