5. Course Objectives:

Students will understand the basic concepts of international commercial law, distinguish between public and private international commercial law, and master legal issues related to international sales contracts, international trade customs, international payments, international franchising, and dispute resolution in international business. Students will develop skills in presenting issues, working in teams, researching foreign laws, analyzing case law, and applying analytical thinking in decision-making and problem-solving. They will also be able to identify risks and provide legal advice on matters related to international business law. Students will have the ability to independently resolve legal issues in international business law, share perspectives and research findings with colleagues, and be confident and independent in research. They will also be able to view the law from various angles to provide deep comparisons and analyses.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

With this course, students will be equipped with the knowledge of: (i) Sources of private international trade law; (ii) international business scene; (iii) international selling goods; (iv) international transportation; (v) international franchising and (vi) international commercial dispute resolution.
