5. Course Objectives:

The course helps students gain knowledge about economic principles and basic methods in analyzing and planning socio-economic development plans at the national and sectoral levels. The method of applying the Input-Output Model and the Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) are also presented in this course. In addition, the course also provides students with an environment to discuss a number of public policies in Vietnam as well as other countries (such as industrial and trade development policies, policies to support small and medium enterprises, etc.). From there, students can identify the bases of public policy-making agencies; Identify the mechanisms of influence of the policy, the objectives of the policy, the main beneficiaries, and related factors; from which there are discussions about business or investment opportunities.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course offers students who are interested in public sector and nonprofit careers and seek to make a difference in their communities. Academic coursework and learning opportunities such as internships and applied courses create a hands-on educational climate that is both exciting and challenging.
