5. Course Objectives:

The course helps students to take on the position of project manager (or project manager when they have enough experience) at companies and organizations; equip students with advanced knowledge and tools to enhance their leadership roles in projects such as skills in using MS Project software and some other software in project management. In the course, students will have the opportunity to hone skills in project planning, execution, project monitoring and evaluation, managing changes in scope, managing project risk, and developing an effective project execution team to achieve the goals of a small and relatively simple project that the student group select. Learning through the implementation of specific projects in practice also helps students develop many necessary skills such as time management skills, negotiation skills, change management skills, human resource management skills, etc. In addition, students can practice or discuss some case studies in certain fields (information technology projects, construction projects, digital marketing projects, research projects, community development projects, or other projects that are close to life, daily work of students)

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This applied project management course provides project managers with advanced tools and techniques to enhance their leadership role in projects. In this applied project management course you will have the opportunity to hone your skills in project governance and planning, stakeholder management and engagement, managing scope changes, and developing an effective project team to achieve project outcomes.
