5. Course Objectives:

The "Information System Analysis and Design" course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand, analyze, and develop management information systems (MIS) in modern business environments. Students will learn about the role of information systems in supporting organizational management levels, building competitive advantages, and implementing organizational strategies. The course covers fundamental aspects such as hardware, software, databases, and computer networks, along with enterprise applications like ERP, CRM, and SCM. Students will gain proficiency in business process management (BPM), system development (SDLC), and tools like Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouses. Additionally, the course addresses topics such as information security, IT governance, and ethical and social issues related to information systems. By the end of the course, students will be capable of analyzing requirements, designing information system solutions, and effectively managing implementation processes.

Information systems play a central role in many aspects of business operations, being one of the most important functional components for the success of any modern socio-economic organization. This course introduces students to information systems, the role of information systems in the modern business environment, and issues to consider in the development and management of information systems in order to contribute to the creation of goods and services. high-quality services and gain a competitive advantage. The course also covers the Information Technology basis of information systems, the relevant ethical and social issues of privacy and security.
