5. Course Objectives:

The "Warehouse and Inventory Management Technology" course equips students with knowledge and skills in fundamental principles of warehouse and inventory management, alongside the application of modern technologies in the field. Students will learn about the roles and functions of warehouses, models and systems for managing storage locations such as Barcoding and RFID. The course also emphasizes order planning methods (EOQ, MRP, JIT), workforce and quality management, receiving and dispatching processes, and warehouse layout design. Additionally, students will develop skills in using software and warehouse management systems (WMS) to optimize warehouse performance. Lastly, the course introduces methods for analyzing warehouse operational efficiency using KPI indicators, measuring ROI, and evaluating system quality.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The course is divided into two main parts: inventory management and warehouse management. 

Part 1 provides an understanding of inventory, classification, inventory cost, and related modern technology knowledge. And order planning methods for effective inventory management. 

Part 2 provides information about the role of the warehouse, the warehouse manager (director), the operational processes in the warehouse. Organize the supply of human resources for warehouse operations, calculate costs incurred in the warehouse, conduct performance analysis of the entire warehouse.
