5. Course Objectives:

The "Decision Science" course equips students with foundational knowledge and skills to understand and apply various methods and models for decision-making in complex contexts. Students will be introduced to the elements of the decision-making process, including comparable alternatives, factors, criteria, and conflicts among criteria. The course emphasizes single-criterion decision-making theories and techniques, such as game theory, decision trees, and decision-making under uncertainty, as well as multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM) methods like SAW, TOPSIS, AHP, BWM, and EDAS. Additionally, students will explore applications of fuzzy theory and psychological behavior in decision-making, as well as multi-objective decision-making (MODM) models like Compromise programming, Goal programming, and De Novo programming. By the end of the course, students will be capable of applying decision-making techniques and models to practical scenarios across various fields.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Decision making is one of the important parts in operation research or management science. Decision making techniques help management to choose the best alternative based on quantitative criteria. This course provides students with basic knowledge about decision model formulation, so that they can make decisions based on the results of the models. This course also provides students with specific techniques for practical applications in production and services.
