5. Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, students will understand scientific research, how to conduct a qualitative or quantitative research project, including formulating a proposal, collecting evidence and data, developing or proving predictions or arguments, communicating research results, and disseminating research applications. Students will practice relevant research skills such as collecting, processing data, and interpreting results through conducting a specific project and reporting on the project. Students will also be aware of research integrity and will practice objective, cautious, humble, and creative thinking.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
The aim of this unit is to offer students the opportunity to engage in sustained research in a specific field of study. The unit enables students to demonstrate the capacity and ability to identify a research theme, develop research aims, objectives and outcomes, and present the outcomes of such research in both written and verbal formats. On successful completion of this unit, students will have the confidence to engage in problem-solving and research activities which are part of the function of a manager.
