This module is designed to provide students with fundamental understanding about principles of yield management and the use of capacity control and pricing strategies to achieve profit improvement within businesses with following characteristics: perishability, non-storability, constrained supply, seasonality. Based on these foundations, the module emphasizes the yield management activities in the tourism sector, including: hotels, restaurants, carriers, and travel operators.
