5. Course Objectives:

- Understand concepts related to strategic management, the process of creating strategies at all levels. - Understand and analyze the external environment of specific industries and analyze the five competitive forces of a specific company. - Understand SWOT analysis methods and applications, master how to create the company's mission. - Understand the different types of social and ethical responsibility in business - Understand and recognize, evaluate and analyze theoretically company-level strategy, business-level strategy and function-level strategy as well as apply this knowledge to analyze the strategy of companies. - Know how companies create competitive advantages in many specific industries as well as how the company competes in the market. - Understand and analyze the strategies of multi-industry companies and the priorities for selecting business-level and corporate strategies. - Apply management decision-making skills.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The strategy management course is designed to provide students with the knowledge of planning, organizing implementation, and controlling strategy within the organization. The content of the module is designed to provide learners with knowledge including the concept of business strategy/strategy; position, role, and classification of strategy; ways to make a difference to the strategy; the organization's operating environment; how to set up the organization's mission, vision, and goals; techniques for formulating and choosing strategies; implementing strategy in practice; exercise strategic control. The strategic management module will make it easier for learners to continue learning other subjects in management majors such as organization, human resource management, production management, marketing management, etc.
