5. Course Objectives:
Students are exposed to various departments of the hospital. The course is designed to facilitate this learning objective and is based on the principle of “learning by observing”. The course will also help in learning how to “work in teams”. --All departments, administrative and clinical, will be divided into “Activity Clusters”, which will consist of approximately 16 activities in a typical large hospital. Each student group, will be exposed to all the Activity Clusters on a round-trip schedule. The schedule will consist of 10-week periods, allocating all groups across all activities. The student groups will also be required to undertake some tasks in the hospital. Students will have a report and a Power Point presentation before the lecturers and experts at the hospital.
