5. Course Objectives:

The Fundamentals of Engineering Mathematics 1 course equips students with basic and advanced knowledge of analysis, including sequences, functions, derivatives, integrals, series, differential equations, and functions of many variables. Students will gain a clear understanding of important concepts and methods such as limits, derivatives, integrals, Taylor, Maclaurin, and Fourier series, and their applications in mathematics and engineering. At the same time, the course helps develop practical problem-solving skills, using methods for calculating limits, investigating functions, integrals, and testing the convergence of series and sequences.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The Fundamentals of Engineering Mathematics 1 course provides basic and advanced knowledge of analysis, including: sequences, limits, derivatives, integrals, series, differential equations, and functions of many variables. The course content focuses on concepts, calculation methods, and applications in practical problems, such as function investigation, optimization, series convergence testing, and extreme value analysis. In addition, students will be introduced to advanced mathematical tools such as Taylor, Maclaurin, Fourier series, and methods for solving differential equations. The course emphasizes the combination of theory and application, helping students develop mathematical thinking and apply knowledge in engineering and science fields.
