5. Course Objectives:
The course is designed to introduce Engineering drawing as a means of professional engineering communication. Engineering drawing course provides fundamental knowledge to emphasize the importance of drawing as a language for engineers; to develop skills in engineering drawing and drafting; to develop skills in interpretation of engineering drawings; to develop skills in computer aided drafting and design.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
The course equips students with basic knowledge of technical drawings including 1- Standards for drawing presentation; 2- Construction tools used to solve common geometric problems in the design and construction of technical drawings; 3- Projection & method of perpendicular projections used in technical drawing; 4- Standards and regulations on the representation of objects used in the presentation of technical drawings, including detailed drawings & assembly drawings.
The subject helps students develop reading comprehension skills & building technical drawings for machine parts and assemblies as well as practice scientific working style, carefulness, sense of organization, and discipline of workers. technical work.
