This course provides students an overview of financial markets and institutions. More specifically, an in-depth description of money markets, bond markets, stock markets, mortgage markets and foreign exchange markets is presented. The background of financial institutions including commercial banks, managed funds, securities companies, insurance offices are also discussed to clarify the importance of financial institutions in the markets
