5. Course Objectives:
The course content equips students with knowledge to use in investment fund management. Specifically, the course aims at the following specific objectives: Knowledge: The course helps students understand the types of investment funds, focusing on the content of mutual funds; investment methods as well as the administration and management of funds. In addition, students are provided with some other knowledge such as fund marketing and fund management in the trend of globalization. Skills: In addition to basic knowledge, students will be trained in practical skills on Excel, Dashboard, teamwork, report presentation skills and other basic skills.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This course provides students with a broad understanding of the investment funds operations. This course consists of 3 main parts. Accordingly, Part 1 deals with the structure, measurement methods and regulations in funds operations. Part 2 contains knowledge about portfolio management and trading in the market. Part 3 presents an overview of the activities of investment funds such as Marketing and shareholder relations, sponsorship, governance and global factors that affect mutual funds.
