5. Course Objectives:

"The objectives of this course are of the followings: - To provide an overview of Social Innovation: definition, operating process, principles of practice, and the role of Social Innovation in proposing social innovation solutions, meeting the requirements of sustainable development; - To equip students with sustainable thinking, behavior, and social innovation spirit in academic activities, work, and providing socio-economic solutions for organizations. - To help students develop teamwork skills, critical thinking skills, presentation skills, effective communication skills, giving and receiving feedback, respecting the ideas and opinions of others … via project-based learning method."

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Social innovation helps to address the most pressing issues of our time such as climate change, worldwide chronic epidemics, and growing inequality. Social innovation brings about the processes, metrics, models and methods used to innovate in the commercial or technological sector.

This module equips learners with social innovation thinking in the process of starting, operating or participating in the operation of existing businesses. Learners are provided with an overview of processes and strategies to create positive changes for society. Through learning and discussion activities in the form of thematic discussions with the participation of social enterprises, social activists and group exercises focusing on solving social innovation situations
