5. Course Objectives:

This course aims to equip students with the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes for effective communication in the professional context of actuarial science, finance, and insurance. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: Understand and apply principles, models, and strategies of professional communication in actuarial practice, including verbal, non-verbal, and written communication. Develop presentation, reporting, and data communication skills to convey actuarial and financial analysis results clearly, logically, and persuasively to different audiences such as colleagues, managers, clients, regulators, and the public. Practice teamwork, negotiation, active listening, feedback, and persuasion skills to foster collaboration and professionalism in a multicultural working environment. Enhance awareness of professional ethics, social responsibility, and respect for diversity in professional communication, especially in decision-making contexts that affect organizational and community interests. Build confidence, proactivity, and adaptability in professional communication situations, aiming for continuous self-development and effective integration in international working environments.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course equips students with essential professional communication knowledge and skills required in the fields of risk analysis and actuarial pricing. The content focuses on presentation, professional report writing, data communication, teamwork, and negotiation in a professional and multicultural environment. The course also emphasizes the importance of professional ethics, social responsibility, and transparency in professional communication. It serves as an important supporting course that provides a foundation for students to effectively apply actuarial analysis results in specialized courses such as Long-term Insurance Mathematics 1 & 2, Short-term Insurance Mathematics 1 & 2, Statistics for Risk Modeling 1 & 2, and Investment and Financial Markets 1 & 2.
