5. Course Objectives:

The objective of this course is to enable students to understand the key characteristics of various types of long-term insurance, grasp fundamental concepts related to parametric and non-parametric mortality models for individuals, and develop the ability to perform calculations on random variables describing the present value of insurance benefits associated with long-term insurance products.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course is designed to help students develop knowledge of the theoretical foundations for contingent payment models and apply these models to insurance and other financial risks. To excel in this course, students should have a solid understanding of Probability Theory and Financial Mathematics for actuaries. Additionally, the knowledge gained from this course will be an important foundation for students to continue with Long-Term Actuarial Mathematics 2.
