5. Course Objectives:

Cung cấp kiến thức quản trị cơ bản, các nguyên tắc quản lý trong môi trường quốc tế; Phản ánh sự thay đổi trong thực tiễn quản lý, kết hợp lý thuyết cổ điển và đương đại; Hiểu những gì người quản lý thực hiện trong môi trường làm việc quốc tế; Nắm vững các chức năng quản lý, các thách thức và cơ hội mà tổ chức phải đối mặt; Phân biệt quản lý và lãnh đạo, và áp dụng các khái niệm lãnh đạo vào tổ chức; Phát triển khả năng nghiên cứu và phân tích thực tiễn quản lý./ Provide basic management knowledge, principles of management in an international environment; Reflect changes in management practice, combining classical and contemporary theories; Understand what managers do in an international working environment; Master the management functions, challenges and opportunities that organizations face; Distinguish between management and leadership, and apply leadership concepts to the organization; Develop the ability to research and analyze management practices.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The course provides students with basic and general management knowledge, especially the fundamental principles of Management that are relevant and interesting to today's students. The course content will reflect the changes taking place in management practice by combining classical and contemporary management theory, while providing modern, vivid examples of how managers of large (multinational) companies and small and medium-sized enterprises adapt to the changing global context.

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: 

  • Understand what managers do in dynamic and changing global work environments;
  • Understand the management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and auditing;
  • Understand the challenges and opportunities facing organizations today such as globalization, diversity, technology, and social responsibility.
  • Understand the difference between management and leadership in modern organizations;
  • Understand how to apply basic concepts from leadership theory, communication, and motivation to organizational leadership.
