6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Exporting agricultural commodities and value-added products represents an important part of the Vietnamese economy. This course aims to equip students with knowledge about international marketing strategies used for organizing marketing and export activities to sell agricultural products in global markets. The course is presented in the following topics: (i) International market compatitiveness of agricultural products, marketing methods for exporting agricultural products, product strategy, agricultural price strategy, and export market strategy; (ii) Organization and management system for export marketing of agricultural products, including global supply chain and distribution of exported agricultural products, promotion, advertising, marketing communications, special issues of agricultural products’ export, and evaluation of export marketing strategies. The digital technology’s issues will be also integrated into selected lectures to help students explain why Vietnamese agricultural products have faced a variety of difficulties in developed export markets. Besides, this course also helps students develop their critical thinking, analytical thinking, creativity, and professional presentation skills of the agribusiness managers.
