The module Urban Computation and Spatial Data Analysis is designed to equip students of architecture and urban planning with the skills needed to work with urban data. In the context of rapid urbanization, the ability to analyze and use urban data becomes extremely important in making effective planning and design decisions. Students will be trained in spatial and non-spatial data analysis techniques, through QGIS, R, and Power BI tools. Students will learn how to collect, clean, and visualize urban data from various sources, and apply analytical methods to solve specific problems in urban management. The module not only focuses on mastering tools and techniques, but also encourages students to develop analytical thinking and problem solving. Through practical exercises and group projects, students will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have learned to real-life situations, thereby improving their ability to work independently and in teams. This module will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to use urban data effectively in the fields of architecture and urban management.
