Graduation project in Architectural and Urban Design Inclusive Smart City - Architecture and Smart Urban Design is a final project that integrating knowledge learned and practiced from previous semesters. This project does not go into designing a building, a park, a resort or hotel... It is a design project that needs to be approached from the perspective of: (1) understanding the urban and landscape system and then acting smartly on the system in multiscale; (2) (re)position new urban architecture within a large structure; (3) creation of an urban and landscape framework to solve/mitigate problems in the urbanization process.
Hence, Urban design is the framework to connect architecture and landscape. In other words, this final project/thesis uses urban design approach to strengthen and (re)-structure urban and social-ecological systems to seek for strengthening and (re)structuring urban and social-ecological systems in order to respond to urban challenges in cultures, societies, climates, and economies.
The graduation project will have a structure of 7 parts: 1. Framing issues, 2. Concept & Hypothesis, 3. Methodology, 4. Reading the existing, 5. Case studies’ reflection, 6. Research by design, 7. Conclusion. The analysis and design assignment in part 4 and 6 will be carried out in three scales: territory, project and strategic site.
