This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the history of art and culture, spanning from ancient times to the modern era. Students will explore the evolution of art and culture across different historical periods, from early civilizations to contemporary artistic and cultural movements.
By integrating theories of art and technology, the course deepens students’ understanding of the transformative power of technology in reshaping artistic forms and cultural practices. Students will examine how technology has influenced the development of art and culture—from the creation of new works to the dissemination and preservation of cultural heritage.
The course also places particular emphasis on analyzing and evaluating contemporary trends in art and culture, from the rise of digital art to the influence of mass media.
