This course emphasizes academic writing for multiple purposes, aiming to enhance students’ abilities in drafting, revising, and editing their own work. Through advanced writing exercises and projects, students are guided in organizing ideas, developing logical arguments, and maintaining coherence and unity in academic texts. In addition, the course equips students with essential research writing skills, including topic selection, source evaluation and citation, summarizing and analyzing references, synthesizing data, and writing academic reports. The overall objective of the course is to help students become independent, critical, and accurate academic writers capable of using appropriate academic language in various professional and scholarly contexts.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The course Advanced Writing 2 is a core subject in the English Language program designed to further develop students’ advanced academic writing competence. It focuses on strengthening students’ abilities in argumentation, synthesis, critical analysis, and evaluation of information in academic writing. The course also expands students’ application of writing strategies in producing research essays and academic reports.
