The Public Speaking course provides students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in preparing, organizing, and delivering effective speeches. The course covers key elements of public speaking, including speech structure, audience analysis, rhetorical strategies, language use, voice control, body language, and emotional management.
Through various interactive and experiential learning activities such as individual speeches, group presentations, peer evaluations, and simulated public speaking events (forums, debates, and pitching sessions), students enhance their delivery techniques, critical thinking, and persuasive communication skills.
The course also aims to develop students’ confidence, flexibility, and professional speaking style — essential qualities for academic, business, and leadership contexts. Upon completion, students will be able to design, perform, and critically evaluate speeches that are appropriate to specific purposes, audiences, and contexts.
