- Understand the concepts of events, the probability of events, and the formulas for calculating probability.
- Master the concepts of random variables and be able to compute the basic statistical characteristics of random variables.
- Understand and apply the concepts of discrete distributions in related problems.
- Master the concepts of continuous distributions and apply them to related problems.
- Understand the concepts of samples and sampling distributions, and be able to solve related problems.
- Master the concepts of estimation and be able to apply them to estimation problems.
- Understand and apply statistical hypothesis testing methods in practical situations.
- Understand the concepts of analysis of variance and analysis of categorical variables, and be able to solve related problems.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This course is designed to provide students with a solid understanding of probability and statistics concepts, common discrete and continuous distributions, common estimation and hypothesis testing methods, and common variance and categorical data analyses.
