5. Course Objectives:
This course introduces the content of environmental law worldwide, international legal regulations on environmental protection, the formation and development process of environmental protection laws in Vietnam, the content of environmental protection law, subordinate legal documents guiding the implementation of environmental protection laws, regulations on environmental handling and penalties, as well as environmental policies in Vietnam.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This course provides students with a comprehensive view of the role of law and public policy in promoting sustainable development. Students will learn about Vietnam's current public policies and international commitments related to sustainable development, with a focus on human rights, natural resource protection, poverty reduction, social justice and other related issues. Legal challenges in implementing policies will be analyzed, and how public policies can support or hinder progress in the country's sustainable development goals.
