This course provides students with fundamental knowledge of financial decision-making, investment, and risk management associated with energy companies and renewable energy projects, in the context of sustainable development becoming a mandatory requirement in most countries worldwide.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The subject examines the established practices, processes, and tools from within the financial markets and businesses that are being adapted to make financing, investment, and risk-hedging decisions related to energy companies and renewable energy-related projects. Key topics in energy finance include highlights of clean energy investment considerations and fundamentals of investment decisions, focusing on identifying and valuing expected cash flows, risks and returns, and appropriate discount rates for investments. In particular, the course focuses on in-depth analysis of energy investment decisions by examining real-world clean energy scenarios/projects.
