Due to the widespread use of cost-benefit analysis in government budgeting processes, this course will develop the essential skills needed to assess the sustainability of a project. Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to independently conduct a cost-benefit analysis on any issue of interest, as well as evaluate the quality of another cost-benefit analysis to determine whether it is well or poorly conducted.

This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of cost-benefit analysis (CBA) techniques specifically designed for sustainable projects. It covers theoretical frameworks, analytical tools and practical applications for assessing the economic, social and environmental aspects of projects. It also addresses ethical considerations and stakeholder engagement.
