5. Course Objectives:

The "Project Management" course provides students with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage, implement and monitor projects. Through this course, students will master the key steps in project management, from planning, dividing work, to controlling factors such as scope, time, cost, quality, risk and procurement. Students will develop team leadership skills, negotiation and persuasion skills with stakeholders to work towards the common goals of the project. The course also equips students with the ability to proficiently use support tools, especially Microsoft Project, in project planning and management. In addition, the course encourages students to practice determination, the will to overcome adversity, and flexibility in adapting to environmental changes and unexpected situations, in order to prepare them with the confidence and capacity to solve complex problems in the role of a manager professional project.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The aim of this unit is to offer students the opportunity to engage in sustained research in a specific field of study. The unit enables students to demonstrate the capacity and ability to identify a research theme, develop research aims, objectives and outcomes, and present the outcomes of such research in both written and verbal formats. On successful completion of this unit, students will have the confidence to engage in problem-solving and research activities which are part of the function of a manager.
