5. Course Objectives:

The course "Event Purchasing Management" provides comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and supply chain management, helping students understand the importance of the purchasing process in optimizing resources, reducing financial loss and creating competitive advantages for businesses. Students will learn how to analyze the purchasing process, evaluate and select suitable suppliers, manage prices, resolve conflicts, and execute contracts in the context of compliance with laws and business ethics. The course emphasizes building a sustainable procurement model, integrating global supply strategies and solving real-life situations through case-study exercises. Students will also be equipped with price analysis techniques, quality management according to international standards (6 Sigma, ISO Standards, MBNQA Criteria), and practice procurement service processes such as transportation, logistics and third-party management. In addition, the course helps students develop the ability to evaluate procurement policies purchasing, measuring supply capacity, and creating lean supply chains to meet the demands of a globalized and agile business environment. Students will develop responsibility, strategic thinking, and adaptability to prepare for management positions in the events and tourism services industry.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Besides managing customers for profit, tourism businesses, especially hotels and events, managers and decison-makers also need to pay attention to purchasing and supply chain management to maximize the efficiency of their human resources and limit financial waste. This course focuses on introducing content related to the purchasing process, analyzing step by step, evaluating and choosing right suppliers; managing , discussing and settling prices, conflicts; signing contracts and issues related to law and business ethics in purchasing, managing risks and purchasing services towards building a sustainable purchasing model. At the same time, it helps administrators to have an insight into supply creation in globalization trends and respond to flexible environmental changes as well as solve situations (case-study), grasp new trends in the future to serve the job requirements.
