Epidemiology is a subject to help students majoring in Hospital Management understand the causes of disease, analyze the causes, and find solutions to disease prevention. At the same time, epidemiology helps students’ concept of research methods used in research in the community. Epidemiology is a science with scientific research methods based on data and based on a systematic and unbiased approach to data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Basic epidemiological methods tend to rely on careful observation and use valid comparison groups to assess what was observed, such as the number of cases in a particular area. in a particular period of time or the frequency of exposure between people with the disease, different from what might be expected. However, epidemiology is also based on methods from other scientific disciplines, including biostatistics and informatics, with biological, economic, social and behavioral sciences.
