The individual psychology and behavior are well known to the public, but the crowd psychology and behavior are quite unfamiliar to many administrators. However, this knowledge is an important part of crowd management in the travel industry, especially when something goes wrong. This module provides the foundations of crowd concepts, crowd forming factors, crowd psychology and behavior, reactions, and management techniques. Crowd management models, crowd risk analysis matrices, and psychological software and tricks will also be introduced to help students be proactive when working with large groups in specific events.
