This course equips the students with comprehensive knowledge of people analytics and the application of people analytics in human resource management activities within companies. Unlike traditional tools and methods that mostly rely on managers’ experience, judgement, and personal perception, compnies today can make human resource management decisions based on reports and quantitative analysis.
This course also provides the students with basic knowledge, analytical skills, and necessary tools for analyzing human resource data, especially the ability to apply the new analytical techniques related to Big data and Machine learning. Analyses based on these data will serve the specific quantitative evidence in making human resource management decisions. Additionally, this course also equips the students with knowledge and skills related to collecting, organizing, and managing the necessary data for people analytics. Building and managing the database to obtain the input data for analyses is important.
