5. Course Objectives:

The Automation Systems course aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge of automation devices, including sensors, controllers, and actuators, enabling them to select appropriate devices for automation systems. Students will acquire skills in analyzing, calculating, designing, and controlling production systems. Additionally, the course introduces modern control methods (mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic-hydraulic, and PLC) and guides students in using software for programming and monitoring devices via PLC. The goal is to prepare students to design and implement automation systems in industrial settings.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The course aims to provide learners with basic knowledge about devices in automatic systems, operating principles of devices in automatic systems (sensor devices, control devices, actuators, etc.). operating), thereby selecting devices for the automatic system. Provides learners with basic knowledge and skills to analyze a number of production processes, including explaining process models, physicochemical models, process identification, and characteristics of control system components. production process as well as the ability to calculate, design, and analyze controls in the production process control system. In addition, the subject also provides knowledge about control methods to automate the system, including: mechanical control, electromechanical control, pneumatic-hydraulic control, electronic control. PLC, Advantages and disadvantages of the above control methods. Students self-study to be able to use a software to write control programs and monitor equipment using a PLC controller.
