5. Course Objectives:
The International Practice Standards course provides general knowledge and skills on payment means and international payment methods in the world and in Vietnam. From providing basic knowledge on the banking payment system, the course will help students gain a deeper understanding of international practices, legal basis, and practical application experience in banking and businesses with import-export activities.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This course provides students with knowledge of foreign trade contracts, Incoterms, how to implement international payment methods according to modern international banking standards. In addition, students are introduced to a full set of documents in payment, practice examining documents and handling disputes arising in international commercial and service transactions, the international legal documents of the International Chamber of Commerce. The module also helps students practice solving specific situations and updating international banking practice standards according to the latest ICC documents. Performs roles as exporters, importers, banks and commercial arbitrators. CoreBanking can be used to simulate international banking operations at the University of Economics HCMC's simulation center.
