5. Course Objectives:

This course provides students with fundamental knowledge of maritime law, including issues related to contracts and insurance in the carriage of goods by sea, as well as identifying and handling common risks and disputes in this field. Students will develop skills in identifying legal issues in maritime law, applying legal regulations, and researching information related to this area. The course also equips students with critical thinking abilities, analyzing social contexts both domestically and internationally, while helping students develop skills in drafting legal documents and professional communication within the maritime environment. Students will learn to offer solutions in challenging situations, collaborate with others, and perform tasks with ethical and professional responsibility in the field of maritime law.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Students grasp the basic knowledge of maritime law - an important requirement in the Bachelor of Laws training, majoring in International Business Law, when the mode of transporting goods by sea is always one of the methods selected and used most commonly by traders.

After completing this module, students will be equipped with extensive knowledge from theory to practice about: (i) Overview of freight transport by sea and maritime law; (ii) Contract for the carriage of goods by sea; (iii) Insurance for the carriage of goods by sea; (iv) Consulting in the field of maritime law, from which to initially handle the basic legal issues arising in the field of training.
