Học phần Di trú quốc tế: Luật pháp và chính sách cung cấp những kiến thức và kỹ năng cần thiết để người học đánh giá được tính chất hai mặt của vấn đề di trú ở cả góc độ toàn cầu và trong nước. Cụ thể, học phần trang bị cho người học những kiến thức cơ bản giải thích động lực di cư và mối quan hệ của nó với kinh tế, tăng trưởng, và chính sách nhân khẩu học. Đồng thời, học phần cũng phân tích các vấn đề kiểm soát xuất cư và nhâp cư tại những điểm nóng trong mạng lưới di trú toàn cầu như Châu Âu, Bắc Mỹ, và Úc. Ngoài ra, học phần cũng giúp người học phân biệt rõ và sử dụng được những kỹ thuật cơ bản để đánh giá vấn đề di trú từ góc độ chính sách cũng như góc độ kinh tế. /The International Migration: Law and Policy course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess the dual nature of migration issues from both a global and domestic perspective. Specifically, the course equips students with basic knowledge explaining migration dynamics and its relationship to economics, growth, and demographic policy. At the same time, the course also analyzes immigration and emigration control issues at hotspots in the global migration network such as Europe, North America, and Australia. In addition, the course also helps students clearly distinguish and use basic techniques to assess migration issues from both a policy and an economic perspective.

This course aims to outfit students with foundation knowledge of the law, policy, and practical issues related to international migration and migration management. Migration policy is studied in the global as well as the Vietnam context. The discussion has also been extended to social-economic impacts, humanitarian and demographic policy, and cross-border control and enforcement regarding human movement between countries. Besides, students will acquire in-depth knowledge about long-stay and short-stay visas of some major developed countries
