The case-method instruction is the use of problems to train students to discover, and then to fix in mind, ways of problem solving that are effective in that field of management. Appropriate use of theory and the acquisition of factual content and analytic skills are also important goals, but the main objective is an ability to handle different types of managerial problems intelligently. This course includes these sections: financing current operations, capital structure, long-term financing, risk management, valuing and selecting investment opportunities, cost of capital and valuation.
