5. Course Objectives:

This course provides students with fundamental knowledge of logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on information technology applications in optimizing supply chains for e-commerce businesses. This course helps students develop the skills to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of modern supply chain management tools, thereby providing innovative solutions suitable for the online business environment. In addition, students will learn how to strategically plan and implement supply chain activities, from purchasing management to supplier and distribution relations. In addition, the course also focuses on developing teamwork and individual skills, helping students to be confident in solving practical problems related to the supply chain, contributing to improving business performance. The course encourages students to self-study and develop creative thinking, especially in finding and applying new technological solutions to improve the efficiency of supply chain operations.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

In this course, students will learn to strategically think about integrated supply-chain, procurement, and service management strategies for organizations that rely, at least partially, on Internet and information technology to transact with suppliers and end consumers. To accomplish this objective, fundamentals from business areas of supply chain management and information management will serve to establish the course’s theoretical underpinnings. Along with this foundation, applied concepts, and practical insights, students will develop the knowledge and necessary skills to plan, organize, operate, and control a variety of processes, resources, services, and relationships in supply chains via the Internet and information technology. Lectures, case-study reports and discussions, analytical investigations constitute the methods through which course content will be delivered.
