This course helps students expand their LSCM specialized knowledge of freight transport operations in the context of sustainable socio-economic development and apply it to perform freight transport business tasks for goods in domestic and international logistics and supply chains.
The course content focuses on two parts
Part 1 introduces the theoretical model of sustainable transport by author J-P Rodrigue, knowledge of the transport system is linked to economic and social activities, and impacts on the environment.
Part 2: focuses on business operations, operations of freight transport modes in a real context
This subject Includes basic concepts and professional knowledge of transportation business by main modes such as sea transport, international air transport, road transport, domestic railway. Introduces the infrastructure system of stations, seaports, ICDs, airports serving cargo transport, logistics centers, free trade with activities of receiving, transiting, and processing domestic and international goods.
